Look out, wellness warriors — nSpired Natural Foods, Inc. announced Tuesday that it is recalling several brands of almond butter and peanut butter over concerns they may be contaminated with salmonella.
The brands covered are numerous, including MaraNatha and Arrowhead Mills, as well as private labels found in stores such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Kroger and others.
According to the FDA, four illnesses have been reported in connection with these products. If you're worried you may have purchased a potentially contaminated product, you can find a complete list of brands being recalled here.
The FDA urges customers not to return the recalled products, but to dispose of them and call 1-800-937-7008 between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm CT for a replacement or refund.
